ABOUT GRACE KITCHEN

MISSION STATEMENT: Grace Kitchen is a nonprofit that offers hope and opportunity for lasting change to women survivors of trafficking, addiction, homelessness and poverty. We do this by fostering a community of grace where women learn job and life skills that enable them to gain sustainable employment and a secure future for themselves and their children.

HISTORY:  Grace Kitchen opened its doors on December 3rd, 2020 with a vision to reach women living in extreme poverty all across the Tri-Cities. We are strategically located 20 feet from the women’s shelter and right on a bus line where women who need to find us, can find us. Since 2020, we have provided thousands of hours of job training, employment, and friendship to women in poverty. Grace Kitchen is a non-profit that provides hope and opportunity to the marginalized women in the Tri-Cities through the daily work of mentoring, job training, employment, and friendship. Each year, many women survivors in the Tri-Cities walk through our doors and are welcomed into a community of mutual kinship alongside other women survivors of abuse. Through the production of our artisan pasta, spice blends, sauces, and catering we equip women survivors in our community to find hope and healing that produces lasting change. Women in our program learn to work, gain marketable skills, build confidence, and graduate into full-time meaningful employment to support themselves and their children.

GRACE KITCHEN PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Our products are made by women survivors and are the very tools we use to welcome women into our program. When women gather around tables with other women survivors to create beautiful products, healing begins to happen in the context of this safe community. Women who were once isolated and without support begin to experience healing through friendship, mentoring, job training, and a sanctuary place of employment.
